Bury vs Millwall Predictions

Bury’s wait for a win goes on as they approach this match but, against a team who continuously allow teams a way into the game by defending poorly, the hosts might just have found their best opportunity in a while to finally secure a much needed victory.

Ahead of this one, although many people could fancy them, backing ‘Bury Draw No Bet’ doesn’t look the worst bet. It’s certainly true that the home side have struggled massively of late, but before two really tough games against Sheffield United and Scunthorpe (two of the League One powerhouses) they had begun to stop the rot by drawing against both Fleetwood and Bradford.

Peterborough don’t exactly come into this match in particularly good form. They performed as well as could be expected against Premier League leaders Chelsea in the FA Cup, but they failed to win in three prior to that, letting themselves down defensively on each occasion. Poor defending has been a definite theme for the visitors this season, they might look good going forward, but a failure to keep teams out is costing them a place higher up the table.

In truth, both of these teams have a similar problem. Neither are short of attacking talents and the goals flow nicely in an attacking sense; however, the problem is keeping them out at the other end.

At the prices, backing a goal-themed bet in this one doesn’t make much appeal. Instead if Bury can find some of the better defensive play they showcased against both Fleetwood and Bradford recently then they could easily make a poor Peterborough back-line pay at the other end. This could finally be the day when Bury end their dismal run without a win and they’re worth backing on the ‘Draw No Bet’ market to do just that.
