Will Cadiz get off the mark?

It’s been a horror start to the season for Cadiz, who lost 1-0 at home to Real Sociedad on the opening day of the season before suffering a 2-0 defeat at Osasuna last week.

That means none of their last four La Liga outings have contained in excess of two goals, while they are also on a run of just two wins from eight.

There’s already pressure on manager Sergio, then, whose side have seen less than three strikes in 14 of 20 league outings at Estadio Ramón de Carranza since the start of last season.

Bilbao looking red hot at the back

Athletic Bilbao on the other hand are yet to concede a goal, that thanks to an opening day 0-0 draw with Mallorca and 1-0 victory over Valencia last weekend.

They are yet to play away from home, so things may change on the road, but only two of their last thirteen league outings (at all venues) have contained three or more goals.

Ernesto Valverde’s side have also won on their last two trips to Estadio Ramón de Carranza, while they have kept clean sheets in five of their last seven La Liga outings.

I predict that there will be fewer than three goals in this match, while I also expect Athletic Bilbao to win, so a 1-0 away victory is my correct score prediction.
