Carlisle vs Accrington Stanley Predictions
Keith Curle’s Carlisle United have had a fantastic start to the season and they currently boast the only remaining undefeated record in League Two. With that record firmly intact and United sitting comfortably in the play-off places, Curle obviously felt he had done enough business early in the window and his squad was strong enough that he didn’t need to strengthen on deadline day. An eventful midweek result in the Checkatrade Trophy saw them come out on top in a nine goal thriller against League One Oldham. No dount, what will have impressed Curle the most is that each of the goals came from a different source.
Despite a positive opening day victory, it’s been a story of what could have been for Accrington Stanley, as they’ve only managed to claim a single point in their last four league games. Their form in front of goal has been steady but John Coleman will know that he will have to fix his sides leaky defence if they are to repeat last season’s form that almost saw them win promotion. The signing of young Bristol City defender Zak Vyner on loan may go some way to fixing their problem although Coleman will know that his more experienced players are going to have to up their performance if Stanley are going to start climbing the league.
Carlisle seem to be doing just enough to get the results they need at the moment and they are yet to ever really feel comfortable in a game. Accrington meanwhile are competent in front of goal but have been vulnerable at the back so we are going to tip both teams to score which is available at 5/6 with bet365. We also feel confident that Carlisle will do enough for the win and for the more adventurous out there a combination of the two is available at 10/3.
