Carlisle United vs Yeovil Town Betting Tips

Carlisle United saw their unbeaten streak come to an abrupt end last weekend when they fell to League Two leaders Plymouth Argyle.

However, a 2-0 loss at home to the promotion contenders doesn’t detract from their excellent form before that.

Carlisle had won four and drawn two of their previous six matches in all competitions, and they have only lost two of their last 11 matches in all competitions overall.

This has put them in 10^th position in League Two, and their comprehensive 5-0 win over Welling United in the FA Cup 2^nd Round has seen them progress in the cup as well.

They are doing a lot better than Yeovil Town in terms of league position. The visitors focus will be firmly on staying in the Football League after their disappointing start to the season.

They have picked up just 17 points from their opening 25 games and find themselves in 23^rd position in League Two, two points adrift of safety.

Yeovil managed to pick up a rare win last weekend when they beat York City 1-0 at home, but prior to that they had only won one of their last ten in all competitions.

Away from home it gets even worse for the relegation threatened side. They have lost three and drawn two of their last five away days in all competitions.

Carlisle United don’t just have the advantage in terms of form though. The hosts have won four of their last five clashes with Yeovil, with the remaining result ending all square to leave Yeovil without a win against Carlisle since 2011.

I fancy Carlisle to win this one. They are in much better form and have had the best of recent meetings between them. Odds of 19/20 for a home win look really good value too, so I’m going for that and a 2-0 correct score prediction at 8/1.
