Celta Vigo vs Almeria Predictions
There were plenty in the 1st leg when a brace from Iago Aspas and a goal from substitute John Guidetti helped Celta to a 3-1 victory at the Estadio de los Juegos Mediterráneos. Back in Galicia they will be strongly expected to finish the job and progress into the 5th Round.
Almeria have had an awful 2015. They fell away badly in the second half of last season which resulted in relegation from La Liga. Things have got even worse in the first half of this campaign and currently they are staring at the very real possibility of back-to-back relegations given they are bottom of the Segunda Division and 4 points from safety.
They haven’t won any of their last 10 matches so both managers you sense will think this tie is already dead and we are likely to see much changed line-ups from both clubs. Celta Vigo have picked up again after a brief wobble by winning 3 of their last 4 matches and 3 points at struggling Granada on Sunday will ensure they head into Christmas in the top four.
Their fringe players will be keen to make their mark in this game and we aren’t likely to see anything other than their usual attacking style. There have been 3 or more goals in 6 of the 8 games at the Estadio de Balaídos this season and also in all of Almeria’s last 3 matches.
The Segunda Division side are better going forward than at the back and we should see a few goals in this game with odds of 8/13 for there to be 3 or more goals certainly appealing.
Celta should win the game but their 2 goal cushion could well lead to some sloppiness and Almeria do still possess a bit of quality in their ranks and would be capable of capitalising.
Therefore we may end up seeing a few goals at both ends and if you fancy a correct scoreline bet with big potential returns consider going for a 3-2 home win at odds of 25/1.
