Celtic vs Fenerbahce Betting Tips

Celtic’s 2-2 draw against Dutch giants Ajax in the opening game of their Europa League campaign wasn’t a disastrous result by any stretch of the imagination, but they might feel that they could have taken all three points.

They twice led in Amsterdam before an 84^th minute equaliser saw two points taken from the Scottish Champions, although it’s hard to say that Ajax didn’t deserve at least a point after controlling the ball for much of the game.

This takes their record to two losses, two draws, and four wins in their last seven matches in all competitions, a run which has seen them relinquish their almost constant position at the top of the Scottish Premiership.

They are now in 2^nd place behind an excellent looking Aberdeen, who are four points clear at the top of the table now.

Fenerbahce, despite a relatively poor start considering the competition in the Turkish Superliga, are tied at the top of the table with Besiktas.

They have amassed 13 points from their opening six league games, losing twice in their last three games in all competitions.

A 3-2 loss to Molde in their Europa League opener saw them end the evening at the bottom of the group, and a 3-2 loss to Besiktas on Sunday allowed their title rivals to draw level on points with them at the top of the table.

Five of Fenerbahce’s last six games in all competitions have seen over 2.5 goals scored, with four of Celtic’s last six going the same way. With both teams looking fairly good in attack and Fenerbahce struggling at the back as well, I’m drawn towards and Over 2.5 Goals bet.

Odds of 17/20 for this outcome look really good value as well, and I’m also backing a 3-1 Celtic win at 18/1.
