There is unlikely to be a goalfest when Ceuta host Leganes in La Liga 2 on Sunday, with under 2.5 goals in the hosts’ last seven matches.

Ceuta are five places above Leganes in the table, with just three points separating the two sides. Ceuta, who have won five, drawn three and lost four of their 12 games this season, are tenth, while Leganes are 15th with three wins, six draws and four defeats.

Ceuta have conceded an average of just 0.57 goals a game in their seven La Liga 2 games against bottom-half teams this season, keeping five clean sheets in those matches. In contrast, Leganes have failed to win four of their five games against top-half teams.

Ceuta are in good form at home, having enjoyed four straight La Liga 2 successes on their own patch, including a 2-0 win over Mirandes last month. In contrast, Leganes’ recent form has been up and down, with two wins, two draws and two defeats in their last six games. They come into this match on the back of two successive defeats.

Both teams are solid at the back. Ceuta haven’t conceded a goal in six of their last seven La Liga 2 games, while Leganes have been impressive defensively away from home this season, conceding just four goals in seven games – an average of 0.57 goals per game.

Four of Ceuta’s five home matches in La Liga 2 this season have gone under 2.5 goals and there has been fewer than three goals in five of Leganes’ last seven away games.

Leganes can edge this, with a 1-0 correct score in favour of the visitors looking like a decent bet. No La Liga 2 team has played more games this season in which at least one team has failed to score than Ceuta (nine in 12 matches).
