Chelsea vs Manchester United Betting Tips

It was under two months ago that Chelsea looked like they could potentially lose every match they played, but what a difference a manager change can make.

Guus Hiddink came in on a second interim contract back in the middle of December, and since then Chelsea haven’t lost a match in any competition.

Granted, they have struggled to win matches sometimes, but their ten match unbeaten streak is undoubtedly impressive.

Chelsea could only manage a goalless draw at Watford in midweek, but their confidence will still be high after a win at the Emirates and a 5-1 thrashing of MK Dons in the FA Cup in their previous two fixtures.

This good run of form has seen Chelsea slowly start to climb up the table, and they come into this match in 13^th position. They are only 11 points off a Europa League spot as well, so all is not lost just yet.

The team occupying that Europa League position are Manchester United, who have now slipped to five points adrift of the top four.

They did manage an impressive 3-0 win against Stoke in midweek though, following on from their FA Cup success against Derby County.

Overall though they have had a frustrating season, and every time they seem to have turned a corner they put in a dismal performance to pile the pressure back on Louis van Gaal.

After they have put a few relatively good performances in, I think that a difficult away match against Chelsea could be the game that sees them fall back into their old ways.

They did it against Liverpool in the middle of January, and they played out a goalless draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge back at the end of 2015.

That was at Old Trafford and when Chelsea were in poor form, so I think Chelsea have a good chance of winning this one. Odds of 23/20 for this outcome are very good value too, so I’m backing that along with a 2-1 correct score prediction at 9/1.
