      Chievo vs Roma Predictions

Chievo have won three of their last five games and are enjoying a pretty solid season in Serie A so far. They’re currently placed 11th in the table. This is a solid football team with a respectable 21 goals tallied and just 18 conceded, they’ve also played pretty well at home for most of the season.

Chievo entered the Christmas break with a frustrating 2-0 defeat away against Fiorentina, but that result was preceded by a good 1-0 home win against Atalanta.

Roma travel to face Chievo on Wednesday. They managed a 2-0 win over relegation strugglers Genoa before the break, but generally they’ll be pleased to put December behind them as a poor run of results saw them drop to fifth in the table, get knocked out of the Champions League and Coppa Italia.

Consistency is the biggest problem for Roma. They’re capable of excellent defensive performances, including the 0-0 draw against Napoli on December 13, and some impressive attacking displays, but have generally failed to put it all together.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Home advantage

We’ll back Chievo to find a way to get some sort of result at home in the first game since the winter break. They’ll put men behind the ball, look to disrupt Roma’s attack and hit them on the counter attack.

      2. Don’t trust Roma

This really should be Roma’s year, but they failed to take advantage of the open top of the table earlier in the season and we just don’t trust a strong Roma to show up on any sort of consistent basis.

      3. Good odds on home double chance

Considering the fact that Chievo are hardly minnows, getting 7/10 odds on a double chance in Serie A football on almost any home team is a pretty decent offer.
