Sheffield United Draw No Bet

Reason for tip

Four straight victories prior to the international break saw Sheffield United move level with Sunderland on points at the top of the Championship and the Blades can go in again at Coventry. The Sky Blues  have won only four times in 15 league games and have lost four of their last six at home.

Sheffield United 1-0

Reason for tip

Correct-score punters should opt for a hard-fought 1-0 win as nine of Sheffield United’s ten wins have finished either that way or 2-0. The visitors have kept nine clean sheets in their last 12 league outings.

Coventry vs Sheffield United Predictions

  • Sheffield United have won their last four league matches
  • Coventry have lost four of their last six home league outings
  • The Blades have kept nine clean sheets in 12 league fixtures

Blades can continue where they left off

Four straight victories prior to the international break saw Sheffield United move level with Sunderland on points at the top of the Championship and the Blades will be hoping to continue where they left off at Coventry.

Only Burnley have conceded fewer than Sheffield United’s total of seven goals in 15 games this season and it is that defensive discipline and organisation that has them in an excellent position to record an immediate return to the Premier League.

Coventry, meanwhile, have fallen way below expectations so far this season and they are still on the hunt for a new manager following the departure of Mark Robins, with Frank Lampard a red-hot favourite to be confirmed as his predecessor.

But the Sky Blues have won only four times in 15 league games this term and they have lost four of their last six at home.

Stubborn visitors to frustrate Cov

Coventry will be desperate to have top striker Haji Wright fit but that looks unlikely as he was stretchered off in their latest 2-2 draw with Sunderland, which would somewhat blunt their frontline.

And that won’t help their cause against a resolute Sheffield United, who have kept nine clean sheets in their last 12 league games.

This is by no means an easy trip for the Blades but they are 15 points above Coventry and look the most likely victors at the Ricoh Arena on Saturday.

Correct-score punters should opt for a hard-fought 1-0 win as nine of Sheffield United’s ten wins have finished either that way or 2-0.
