Cremonese vs Juventus Predictions
- Juventus won their last six Serie A games before the World Cup break, having only won three of their first nine of the season.
- Cremonese, on the other hand, have not won a Serie A match this term.
- The hosts have failed to score in four of their last five games, including each of their last three at home.
- Juventus have kept six consecutive Serie A clean sheets.
Juventus improvement set to continue
Massimiliano Allegri has appeared to be on the brink of being sacked on multiple occasions this term, but Juventus eased the pressure on their head coach by winning their last six Serie A games prior to the World Cup break, and they look set to pick up where they left off when they visit Cremonese – the only team without a win in the Italian top flight this campaign.
Juventus have kept a clean sheet in each of their six successive wins, rediscovering their defensive solidity after a run in which they managed just one shutout in nine matches. The Bianconeri put in arguably their most impressive performance of the season by beating Lazio 3-0 last time out, while the extended break has allowed them to recover injured attacking stars Angel Di Maria and Federico Chiesa.
Juventus’ terrific defensive record makes them overwhelming favourites against a Cremonese side which failed to net in four of their last five games prior to the World Cup, including each of their last three on home soil. Having failed to win any of their 15 games in Serie A this term, scoring just 11 goals, Massimiliano Alvini’s men appear destined for an immediate return to Serie B, and punters will want to be on Juventus’ side on Wednesday.
Bianconeri unlikely to be troubled
Given Cremonese’s dire form and Juventus’ superior quality, backing Allegri’s men for a seventh league win in a row appears a no-brainer for Wednesday’s match at the Stadio Giovanni Zini.
Meanwhile, correct score punters are advised to back a 2-0 away victory for a side with the best defensive record in Serie A this term, conceding just seven times in 15 outings.
