      Crewe to Win

      Reason for tip

Crewe produced one of the performances of the opening set of fixtures in League Two as they kicked off the campaign with a 3-1 win at Salford, where they won the shot count 22-10. They can build on that against an Accrington side in financial difficulty.

      Crewe 2-0

      Reason for tip

Correct-score punters should plunge for a 2-0 Crewe win as they look stand out and both teams have scored in only two of the last 11 meetings between the sides.

      Crewe vs Accrington Stanley Predictions

      • Crewe won the shot count 22-10 in last weekend’s 3-1 victory at Salford
      • Accrington lost 13 of their 23 away league games last season
      • Both teams have scored in only two of the last 11 meetings between the sides

Crewe to build on promising start

Crewe produced one of the performances of the opening set of fixtures in League Two as they kicked off the campaign with a 3-1 win at Salford and they can follow up by recording a home victory over Accrington.

Salford have widely been regarded as a potential playoff contender in League Two but they were readily brushed aside by Crewe, who were more than deserving of success having won the shot count 22-10.

The Railwaymen finished only 13th in League Two last term but that is because they won only one of their final 12 games and the summer reset has clearly done them good.

Accrington would have been delighted to start the season with a 1-1 draw at home to Gillingham and they have since won an EFL Cup preliminary fixture 3-1 against Oldham.

However, Stanley finished 21st in League Two last term and, having been restricted to either loan signings or non-league additions, another season of struggle would appear likely.

Accrington lost 13 of their 23 away league games last season and they may struggle to live with Crewe, who should be oozing with belief.

Correct-score punters should plunge for a 2-0 Crewe win as both teams have scored in only two of the last 11 meetings between the sides.
