Crystal Palace vs Bolton Predictions
Former England manager Sam Allardyce is no stranger to having all eyes on him but after a turbulent few months he will be pleased that it’s a footballing reason for the attention. Allardyce’s Crystal Palace side host Bolton in the FA Cup fourth round replay and we are backing a low scoring affair. An ‘Under 2.5 Goals’ bet is available at 13/2 with bet365 and for our correct score tip we like the look of a 2-0 home win, which is priced at 13/2 with the same site.
Allardyce is still seeking his first victory as Palace manager and although Premier League survival will be top of his agenda, he will know that a victory in the cup will give a massive boost to his side. The former Newcastle, Bolton and West Ham man is an old fashioned manager in many ways and is likely to build from the back in a similar way he did with Sunderland last season. He will also be looking for a reaction from his players after a disappointing performance and a 3-0 defeat to West Ham last time out.
Bolton boss Phil Parkinson is used to a good cup run. He was the manager that took Bradford City all the way to the League Cup in 2013 and with the Bantams going on to claim promotion later that year he will know the knock on effect it can have to the league form. The Trotters are well within the promotion picture and although they’ve had a couple of disappointing results of late, they are sure to represent a difficult task when they visit one of their old favourites.
