Crystal Palace vs Stoke Predictions
Crystal Palace still aren’t completely safe from the Premier League relegation battle, and they will be thankful of their early season good form or the story could be very different at the moment.
They find themselves seven points clear of the bottom three, but both Norwich and Sunderland have a game in hand on Crystal Palace and Newcastle could also potentially leapfrog them on the final day of the season. One more win would do it for them, but they are struggling for three points at the moment.
They have won two of their last eight in all competitions and only one of their last seven in the Premier League. Last weekend saw them lose to Newcastle as well, so their form isn’t looking great by any stretch of the imagination.
Stoke aren’t in the best vein of form either though to be fair. Their 1-1 draw with Sunderland last weekend halted their three match losing streak which had seen them conceded 12 goals, but they remain winless in five outings.
Prior to this they were aiming for their best ever finishing position in the Premier League, but their poor form has seen Stoke drop to 10th in the table. They now can’t finish any higher than 9th in the table.
Despite their relatively poor form it still seems foolish of the bookies to price Stoke at such long odds. They have only lost two of their last five away games in the Premier League, and they are facing a Crystal Palace side who have won just one of their last nine league matches at Selhurst Park.
This makes odds of 3/4 for a Stoke Win or Draw Double Chance look attractive to me, and I’m also going for a 1-1 correct score prediction at 11/2.
