Out of form Cyprus to fall once again

Cyprus welcome Slovenia to GSP Stadium on Tuesday with both sides hoping to find a result to keep their Group H hopes of qualification on track.

The home side are currently on an awful run of form with just one win in their last 13 games. They’ve lost to the likes of Luxembourg and Azerbaijan in that time although holding Croatia to a 1-0 win on Saturday would’ve represented progress for the island nation.

Slovenia started their Group H campaign perfectly, beating Croatia 1-0 in a shock result but they were unable to maintain this good start when they lost 2-1 to Russia on Saturday. Prior to that loss, Slovenia had gone nine games without a loss and they’ll be hoping to bounce back with another win on Tuesday.

Slovenia come into the game as favourites and we agree with that position. We’re backing the visitors to claim all three points and continue to perform above expectations in Group H. We can’t see Cyprus representing much of a threat to Slovenia and we’re forecasting a 1-0 win for the away side.
