Degerfors woes to continue

GAIS are worth backing to defeat out-of-form Degerfors away from home on Saturday. The hosts have gone six Allsvenskan home games without a win, while GAIS have only lost one of their last ten on the road.

They are eight places above Degerfors in the table, with a 12-point gap separating the two sides. Degerfors sit 14th having won four and lost ten of their 15 games, while GAIS are sixth with six wins and two defeats.

GAIS’s 3-2 win over Hammarby kept up their recent winning trend. Hammarby did all their scoring after the break, and 77% of GAIS’s goals conceded have come in the second half of their games this season.

Degerfors have been disappointing in front of goal at home this season, scoring only five goals in seven games in the Allsvenskan – an average of 0.71 goals per game.

GAIS have been impressive defensively away from home this season, conceding just seven goals in eight games – an average of 0.88 goals per game.

The hosts are in poor form. Degerfors have not won in six Allsvenskan games, losing eight of their last ten matches.

GAIS have been winners on three of their last four Allsvenskan away days and are on a run of two straight victories on the road.

A 2-1 win for GAIS looks like a decent correct-score bet. Nine of their 15 Allsvenskan matches this season have seen both teams score and Degerfors are capable of finding the net here, but GAIS should come out on top.
