Denmark Over 1.5 Team Goals

Reason for tip

Denmark have scored at least two goals in six of their last eight games and have beaten world champions France twice during this run. They face a Tunisia side that have won just two of their 15 World Cup fixtures and who have conceded twice or more in five of their last seven.

Denmark 2-0

Reason for tip

Denmark have scored exactly twice in four of their last six competitive matches and have won 2-0 on two occasions, while Tunisia have conceded 21 goals in their last ten World Cup matches.

Andreas Skov Olsen To Score Anytime

Reason for tip

Andreas Skov-Olsen has scored in each of his last two starts for Denmark and bagged five in their World Cup qualifying campaign. He has had nine goal involvements in 15 appearances for Club Brugge in the Belgian First Division A this term.

Denmark vs Tunisia Predictions

  • Denmark have scored at least two goals in six of their last eight games.
  • Tunisia have lost nine of their 15 World Cup fixtures.
  • Denmark have scored exactly twice in four of their last six, winning 2-0 twice.

Denmark look to build on Euro 2020 success

Denmark stole the neutrals’ hearts in Euro 2020 as they overcame an awful situation to reach the semi-finals and now, with Christian Eriksen back to full fitness, they will be looking for a similar performance in the World Cup.

Kasper Hjulmand’s side have had a solid build-up to the tournament, beating Group D rivals and reigning world champions France twice in the Nations League and winning five of their last seven overall. They have scored 12 goals during this period and have seen off a number of respectable teams, only failing against Croatia.

World Cup woes for Tunisia

Tunisia aren’t in terrible form, but the majority of their opponents have been of a lesser quality than those the Danes have faced and their only clash with a top team, Brazil, ended in a 5-1 thrashing in September.

The underdogs don’t have the best record in the World Cup, either, failing to make it past the Group Stage in any of their five appearances and winning just two of their 15 fixtures. The most recent of these, in 2018, came against tournament debutants Panama and that was their first World Cup victory since their own debut in the competition in 1978.

Danish youngster to fire favourites to victory

Denmark should have no problem seeing off the Tunisian threat on Tuesday and I expect them to bag a couple of goals, too. They have scored at least twice in six of their last eight games and Tunisia have conceded twice or more in five of their last seven World Cup games, so Denmark over 1.5 team goals appeals.

The favourites have won two of their last three games by a 2-0 scoreline, too, and have scored exactly twice in four of their last six so I’m opting for a 2-0 correct score prediction and also like the look of Denmark to win to nil.

The talented Martin Skov-Olsen is billed as the rising star of Denmark in our team guide and I fancy the Club Brugge attacker to get on the scoresheet. The 22-year-old has scored in his last two starts for his nation and bagged five in their qualifying campaign, so he can punish Tunisia.
