Blackburn can get back on track

Blackburn can thank their lucky stars that they remain in the play-off places after a run of just three goals in 13 league games since the turn of the year, but that could all change if they fail to beat crisis club Derby County.

Luckily for Blackburn, they have won each of the last four home H2H meetings after a drawn first-half, something which could easily reoccur given that only five sides in the league have seen more games level at HT than Blackburn’s 19 (51%).

Currently on a run of three games without scoring a goal, Blackburn may be able to get back on track against a Derby side that have lost seven straight away league games, the longest active away losing streak in the league.

League One, or worse beckons for Derby

With matters of a takeover still yet to be wrapped up, the crisis continues both on and off the pitch for Wayne Rooney’s Derby County. Compounding matters is their brutal away form, though they did at least maintain a 0-0 scoreline at HT in two of their last three road defeats.

It is hard to see Derby getting anything here in spite of Blackburn’s wobbling form, so we predict a draw/Blackburn HT/FT result at an attractive price.
