Doncaster and Both Teams To Score

      Reason for tip

Three successive defeats may have knocked Doncaster’s confidence ahead of this encounter, but they welcome a Crawley side in dire straits with one win from nine league games and talk of scouting YouTube stars raising more questions than answers.

      Doncaster 2-1

      Reason for tip

All three of Doncaster’s home victories within 90 minutes this season came by a 2-1 scoreline, while Crawley at least got on the scoresheet in three of their last four away games.

      Doncaster vs Crawley Town Predictions

      • Doncaster are unbeaten in five straight H2H encounters.
      • Crawley failed to win eight of their nine league matches this season.
      • All three of Doncaster’s home wins within regulation time this term came with a 2-1 scoreline.

      Donny are the main men

While Doncaster enter this clash on the back of three straight league defeats, a win in the EFL Trophy against Lincoln last time out perhaps raised their spirits. A home encounter with a Crawley side that have won just once across the opening nine rounds could be just the tonic for Donny to bounce back to form in the play-off race.

Crawley faced backlash from fans during the week after their announcement that they would be scouting YouTube stars, seemingly making light of their dire form which could soon turn into a fight for survival in the English Football League.

Any negative feedback has been rebutted by the club with the benefit of greater exposure potentially being a positive. However, it is away form that’s been a real issue for Crawley of late, with the Red Devils winless on their travels since April (D4, L5), although they did show enough to at least get on the scoresheet in three of their last four travelling matches.

Crawley’s men could be swept aside

All in all, we think that Crawley’s dire away run combined with Doncaster’s need to bounce back into promotion contention is a recipe for both goals and a strong home performance. As such, we’re going for a Doncaster win & BTTS selection.

Donny are yet to win by greater than a single-goal margin this season but at the same time, they’ve kept no clean sheets across their last four games. As such, a small stakes selection on a 2-1 correct score could be the smart play here.
