Dunfermline vs Airdrieonians Betting Tips

Dunfermline have a fairly nice cushion to lean on at the top of the Scottish League One table, but they will be hoping that their failure to win in the Scottish FA Cup recently won’t transform into poor league form and threaten their promotion push.

It took two legs for Scottish Premiership side Ross County to dispatch of Dunfermline, but ultimately it was a lot of effort for no reward for the underdogs.

They followed this up with a goalless draw to 3^rd place Peterhead in the league, a result which ended their five match winning streak in League One.

Dunfermline are still on a very impressive unbeaten streak in the league though. They haven’t lost since the middle of September, with ten of their 15 games since then ending in victory. Equally impressively, they have managed to keep a clean sheet in nine of these matches.

Airdrieonians were also knocked out of the Scottish FA Cup recently when Dundee United managed a 1-0 win over them.

This was followed by a thrilling 3-3 draw against Brechin City last weekend, result which made it four defeats, one win, and one draw in Airdrieonians in their last six matches in all competitions.

This poor form has seen them drop to 6^th in the Scottish League One table with 27 points from their first 21 games. They have a 20 point deficit when compared to Dunfermline’s points tally.

At home, Dunfermline have won five of their last six matches in the Scottish League One and have only conceded twice. Airdrieonians, on the other hand, have failed to score in three of their last six matches and have conceded 13 goals.

With Dunfermline’s excellent defensive record of just 14 goals conceded in 21 league matches I’m looking towards a Dunfermline to Win to Nil bet, and odds of 6/5 look excellent value for money. I’m also going for a 2-0 correct score prediction at 6/1.
