Eastleigh vs Macclesfield Predictions
Eastleigh and Macclesfield are two teams who’ve practically mirrored each other this season. On their day, they’re both capable of going well at this level, but a push for the play-offs has been blighted by inconsistency. Both have struggled to put together any sort of lengthy run of good form and now find themselves somewhat marooned mid-table.
With betting in mind, it would be fairly hard to fancy either side with any conviction, but one bet that does make plenty of appeal is ‘Both Teams to Score’ at 4/5.
Going forward, more often than not, hasn’t really been a problem for either of these two in their respective home and away matches. The hosts have scored 21 goals at home, while the visitors have found the net on 18 occasions away from home.
It is at the back where the problems have occurred. 15 conceded at home (Eastleigh) and 14 conceded away (Macclesfield) might not sound like shocking totals, but both have struggled to keep clean sheets and have thus lost/drawn a few too many games as a results. Having said this, it’s likely that both will see this as a winnable game and thus plenty of attacking football is likely to be on show.
Considering Eastleigh have only failed to score in two of their home matches this season, while Macclesfield have been shutout just three times on the road, it would be no surprise at all if both were to find the net at least once in this fixture.
The fact that both teams have scored in four out of Eastleigh’s last five and in each of Macclesfield’s last five is also a big positive ahead of this one.
