Eibar vs Getafe Betting Tips

Eibar are well on their way to replicating last season when they surprised everyone in the first half of the campaign before falling away badly in the new year. This term though they look a more assured outfit with a bit more top level experience and such a dramatic decline is far less likely.

They are currently 6th in the division and the only teams to have beaten them so far are Barcelona and Atletico Madrid. They were 1-0 home winners against Rayo Vallecano last time out and this in many ways is a similar game against another bottom half side in the shape of Getafe.

Getafe’s last two matches have resulted in 5-0 and 2-0 defeats against Sevilla and Barcelona but they were on a pretty decent run prior to that. Away from home though they are usually quite weak and they’ve only scored one goal and picked up one point on the road this term in La Liga and it is 1 point in 9 away matches including a poor run at the end of last term.

Eibar have played some decent sides at home but they’ve still taken 8 points from their 5 matches at the Estadio Municipal de Ipurúa and at 21/20 they look excellent value to pick up maximum points from this one.

They don’t tend to win matches convincingly though and there is unlikely to be more than 1 goal settling this. Given Getafe have failed to score in half of their matches so far, you’d fancy an Eibar side that is normally pretty solid at the back to keep a clean sheet and win the game.

A repeat of their 1-0 win against Rayo Vallecano could very much be on the cards and you can back that at 9/2.
