      Empoli vs Napoli Predictions

Empoli lost players during the summer and there are some early signs that they might struggle to cope during the 2015-16 season. They built themselves around a strong defence last year, they’ve already conceded five times through two games. They don’t have the quality to outscore too many teams in Serie A either.

On a more positive note, Chievo’s thrashing of Lazio makes the opening day loss look more positive and there are some easier fixtures on the horizon. First, they must deal with a Napoli that will currently be looking at them as a “juicy three points”.

Napoli themselves haven’t made the best start to their Serie A campaign. Perhaps they are actually starting to miss Rafa Benetiz after all? They started the season with a surprise defeat against Sassuolo and then only managed a 2-2 draw with Sampdoria in the game before the international break.

Napoli manager Maurizio Sarri arrived this season directly from Empoli, he brought a number of his players with him, but there are signs that the move isn’t working for either side. Sarri will be given time to implement his philosophy, but Napoli will begin to feel urgency if they fail to pick up a first win of the season this weekend.

      Three Reasons for Betting Tips

      1. Expect goals

The two sides have conceded nine goals between them through their first two games and we think that there will be goals in this game. Napoli need to play to win and the defensive structure hasn’t been there for Empoli so far in 2015-16.

      2. Playing against former manager

Sarri was an extremely popular man among Empoli players and we’re not convinced that there won’t be mixed emotions (on both sides) in this game. The situation is more likely to impact Empoli’s players rather than Napoli, we think.

      3. Napoli have a good squad

Napoli haven’t started well, but this still looks like a good squad on paper. They’ve got good players all over the pitch and should be a top five team again this season. We’re expecting a more motivated and determined Napoli to emerge from the All-Star break.
