Everton vs Crystal Palace Predictions
Everton will have been a bit disappointed after last weekend’s result. They held a two goal lead over Bournemouth going in to the final ten minutes of the game.
But Bournemouth turned on the style in the closing stages, coming from two goals behind to draw level. Ross Barkley put Everton back in front in injury time but Bournemouth managed to neutralise this again in a frantic end to the game.
This made it five matches in a row unbeaten for Everton, and they have since made it six with a midweek win over Middlesbrough. Four of these six games have been victories for the Merseyside outfit.
Everton’s only losses so far this season have come against sides in the top four, with Manchester City, Manchester United, and Arsenal beating them. But at home they have won three of their last five Premier League games, scoring 14 goals on the way and only losing to Man Utd.
This puts them in 9th position in the Premier League, although they are only four points off a Europa League position. They are also just a point behind 7th placed Crystal Palace, who they could leapfrog with a win on Monday.
Crystal Palace absolutely thrashed Newcastle last weekend, coming away with a 5-1 victory against the relegation candidates. However, overall they are struggling a bit after an excellent start to the season.
They have won just two of their last seven games in all competitions and have found themselves on the losing side four times. Three of their last five games on the road have ended in defeat.
With Everton in the better form of the two sides and holding the home advantage, I think that they have enough about them to secure the three points on Monday. Odds of 21/20 for an Everton win look really good value too, so that’s what I’m going for in addition to a 3-1 correct score prediction at massive odds of 16/1.
