Everton vs Norwich Predictions

The reign of Ronald Koeman has got off to a near perfect start with Everton sitting in second place in the Premier League after four wins and a draw from the opening five fixtures. With the Toffees not having any commitments in Europe this season the question will be how much emphasis does Koeman want to put on a challenge for the EFL Cup this season.

One big positive for Koeman will be the form of striker Romelu Lukaku after he put an end to his goal drought in emphatic fashion with a hat trick against a lackluster Sunderland last week. Lukaku will miss this fixture so it will be interesting to see if new signing Enner Valencia can step up to the plate.

Norwich were disappointing last season and after finishing in 19th place in the Premier League they were relegated to the Championship. The board stuck with manager Alex Neil and their early season form suggests that might have been the right decision. The Canaries currently sit in second position in the Championship and they will be hoping for an immediate return to the top division.

With a 6-1 victory in the last round of the EFL Cup aside, every Norwich win so far has been a closely fought contest so Neil will be delighted that his side has been able to show the character to come through those tough games and claim all three points.

With Everton keeping a tight ship this season at the back and the absence of their talisman we think this will be a low scoring affair so are backing under 2.5 goals at 7/5 with bet365. For our correct score tip we think the Toffees will win it and make it look comfortable, so we are backing a 2-0 home win.
