Everton vs Sheffield United Predictions
- Everton have won their last four home games without conceding.
- Sheffield United have shipped 16 goals across their last four games.
- The Blades have conceded 100 goals in total in 35 Premier League games.
Everton entertain condemned Blades
Everton have put together a four-game winning streak at Goodison Park and they should be able to make it five in a row when relegation Sheffield United visit.
The Blades started strongly against both Newcastle and Nottingham Forest in their last two games, opening the scoring on each occasion, but they still slipped to heavy defeats in both games and they could be in line for another tough afternoon on Merseyside.
Everton could run riot
Everton are short price favourites to win so the best play here could be backing the hosts to score over 2.5 goals.
Sean Dyche’s men aren’t prolific scorers – they have only scored more than twice in two of their home league games all season – but Sheffield United’s defence has been truly woeful and they have conceded at least three goals in each of their last four games, shipping 16 goals in total.
Going back further, the Blades have conceded at least three goals in six of their last eight and they’ve shipped a staggering 100 goals in 35 league games, an average of 2.86 per-game.
Everton can sign off in style
This is Everton’s last game of the season at Goodison and I’m predicting they can record their biggest win of the season by claiming a 4-0 victory.
The hosts have kept clean sheets in each of their last four home games and can make it five in a row, while Sheffield United have conceded at least four goals in three of their last four games.
Defenders of defensive midfielders have scored against the Blades in three of their last four games so Idrissa Gueye is an interesting outside option for an anytime goal here. The Everton midfielder has a modest three Premier League goals for the season but two of those have come in his last four games, so he could well pop up with a goal on Saturday.
