F91 Dudelange vs Sevilla Predictions
Sevilla play in Luxembourg on Thursday evening, as they look to do the double over hosts Dudelange. Having lost the reverse fixture, the hosts will be hoping to fare better in front of a home crowd.
Dudelange have struggled in Group A, there can be no denying that, though by entering match-day four with three points to their name, they’ve probably exceeded the lowly expectations of many. Unfortunately for Thursday’s hosts, they’re up against a Sevilla side that won handsomely when the pair met a fortnight ago.
On their own patch, the minnows from Luxembourg may fancy themselves to do better, but their efforts in the reverse fixture were damning. In Seville, Dudelange struggled massively to break free from the shackles put on them by the Spaniards, who enjoyed just shy of 70% possession, with which they created chances aplenty, registered 27 shots, 11 of which hit the target, scored three goals and restricted their opponents to just three shots, none of which required keeper Bono to make a save.
Not only were Dudelange well and truly outclassed in the reverse of this fixture, but they also came up massively short when hosting Qarabag in their only previous Group A home match. On that occasion, Thursday’s hosts were once again ineffectual at the back, as they shipped four goals. They did do a better job of advancing forward, as they got on the scoresheet and created a few openings, but it’s tough to envisage them doing so against top dogs Sevilla.
It’s all be very easy for Sevilla in this group. They’ve not been tested at the back, while they’ve simply had far too much quality, both in midfield and in the forward areas. After making light work of winning the reverse fixture, Julen Lopetugui’s men will go Luxembourg brimming with confidence.
In the betting, ‘Sevilla to Score Over 3.5 Goals’ stands out as the prices. The Andalusians failed to notch four when the pair met a fortnight ago, but they were unlucky not to score five or six, so punters shouldn’t be put off by that. They’ve proved that they can carve out chances at will against such inferior opposition, who’ve struggled massively at the back in this competition, so backing the visitors to run riot in the final third, at what appears to be a slightly generous price, appeals.
