FC Copenhagen vs Slavia Prague Predictions

Copenhagen have made a solid start to their Europa League campaign with 4 points from 2 games after picking up a solid 1-1 draw at home to Russian side Zenit St Petersburg and they then followed that up with a 2-1 away victory in France against Bordeaux, thanks to a 90th minute winner from Skov.

Slavia Prague have made a decent start to their group campaign as well, kicking off with a very respectable 1-0 home victory over Bordeaux. They then travelled to Russia to play Zenit St Petersburg and despite keeping it very tight and having as much of the ball as their opponents, succumbed to a 1-0 defeat thanks to a Kokorin strike in the 80th minute.

Copenhagen are 2nd in their domestic league level on points with top of the table Midtjylland. They are very solid at home in the league, and have won their last 5 consecutive home games and 12 of their last 15. They are heavy scorers on home soil too, having scoring 2 or more goals in 16 of their last 22 home league outings.

Slavia Prague currently sit top of their domestic league, 2 points ahead of nearest challengers Viktoria Plzen, winning 10 and drawing 2 of their 12 games. The bookmakers have been fairly generous in their pricing here, they have Copenhagen as slight favourites but they are still comfortably over even money. Whilst this opens up safer options, we fancy the value on offer for the straight home win here. With Slavia not being the greatesr travellers in the Europa League we think they will struggle to score here and on that basis think a 2-0 Copenhagen win looks the best bet on the correct score market.
