Porto out to continue perfect start

With three wins from three so far, Porto are the early leaders in the Primeira Liga. They made a brilliant finish to the last campaign to take the title fight to the final day and they look determined to wrestle the crown back from Benfica this term.

Porto have now won 12 straight league games, while they’ve won 23 of their last 26 Primeira Liga matches dating back to December. The Dragons look good for a title push, especially after hanging on to Mehdi Taremi after his move to AC Milan fell apart.

Arouca can trouble the hosts

Arouca were the big overachievers in the Primeira Liga last term, finishing fifth and earning a spot in Europe. Their success was built on solid defending, but new boss Daniel Ramos has installed a more open approach.

Each of Arouca’s last five matches have seen both teams score, including a 4-3 victory over Estoril in their league opener. Those attacking instincts should see them hurt Porto.
