FC Porto to Win and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Porto, who have won four successive home games, have seen eight of their last nine outings at Estadio Do Dragao contain 3+ goals. They take on Arouca, who have lost four times in six attempts this season, conceding exactly three times in two of those.

FC Porto 3-0

Reason for tip

Porto have already won two games 3-0 this season, against Gil Vicente and Vitoria Guimaraes. Their visitors have conceded exactly three times on two occasions this season, including a 3-0 reversal when recently facing Sporting Lisbon.

FC Porto vs Arouca Predictions

  • Eight of Porto’s last nine home league games have featured 3+ goals
  • Arouca have lost two of their three fixtures on the road this season
  • Porto are on a run of four successive victories at Estadio Do Dragao

Porto out to dominate

Porto may have lost 3-2 to Bodo/Glimt in the Europa League this week, but they are rightly strong favourites to bounce back on home soil, where they have won four league games in a row.

Indeed, the Dragons have also picked up 15 of an available 18 points across the course of the Primeira Liga campaign, with table-topping Sporting Lisbon the only team to stop them so far.

Goals generally follow them around, with eight of their last nine league home games seeing 3+ strikes, as well as five of their eight matches across all competitions and venues in 2024/25.

Can Arouca cause an upset?

That is not good news for visitors Arouca, who have conceded eight goals in six league outings, four of which have ended in defeat.

The concern for Gonzalo García’s side is that they have conceded exactly three in two of those games, including a recent 3-0 hammering at Sporting Lisbon.

That suggests they struggle against the teams towards the top end of the table, and it is hard to see them ending a run of five away head-to-heads without success, with 3+ goals in each of the four defeats during that time.

I predict that Porto will win this game with 3+ goals over the 90 minutes, selecting 3-0 as a correct score prediction.
