Casa Pia may be difficult to break down

Both of these teams have had their issues in the final third this season and that does not bode well for those who are hoping Saturday’s clash with be a classic.

Casa Pia have scored just nine goals in their 12 league games this season which, despite them being mid-table, is not surprisingly the lowest tally in the Primeira Liga.

Their standing is explained by the fact they have been breached just 13 times and Porto may struggle to break down a team who have drawn at Benfica in the league and at Sporting Braga in the cup in the last couple of months.

Estoril won 1-0 at Porto recently, which ended a run of ten undefeated games for the Dragons on their own patch and they have at least made up for that disappointment by winning subsequent away games at Vitoria Guimaraes and Famalicao.

So confidence should be high in the home camp but don’t expect them to run away with this one.

Six of their seven matches before those two away victories featured fewer than three goals and with Casa Pia putting up a couple of decent performances against some of the other Portuguese big guns they could make life difficult without making much of an attacking impact themselves, so Porto could win 2-0, which makes an under-2.5-goals bet attractive.
