Rostov vs Bayern Munich Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

Rostov’s season certainly isn’t going to plan at the moment. Their goalless draw at Rubin Kazan on Friday made it two draws, one win, and four defeats in their last seven games in all competitions.

This includes two Champions League defeats to Atletico Madrid, which followed on from a 2-2 draw at home to PSV and a 5-0 hammering at Bayern Munich in their opening group game, leaving them bottom of the group with only the hope of Europa League knockout stages qualification still alive.

As you may have guessed from their form, their domestic season isn’t quite going how they would hope either. They sit 5th in the Russian Premier League with just 21 points from their 14 games so far.

Bayern Munich aren’t having the usual success domestically either. Their 1-0 loss at Borussia Dortmund on Saturday leaves them 2nd in the Bundesliga, but the top spot holders aren’t who you would expect. Newly promoted RB Leipzig sit top of the pile with 27 points from their 11 games so far and remain unbeaten.

This defeat on Saturday ended Bayern Munich’s eight match unbeaten streak in all competitions, but they will feel confident in their ability to get back to winning ways on Wednesday.

A win on Wednesday could take them to the top of the group, with them currently lying three points adrift of Atletico Madrid after their 1-0 defeat to them in September.

In terms of our goalscorer predictions Robert Lewandowki is the obvious choice, but there is better value to be had. Midfielder Joshua Kimmich has been a revelation this season and has scored seven goals in the Bundesliga and Champions League and has averaged a goal every 106 minutes of play. He is our best value choice for an anytime goalscorer prediction.

Obviously Bayern Munich are huge favourites here, and it’s understandable to see why. They are by far the better team and beat them 5-0 at the Allianz Arena earlier this season. Considering this previous result between the sides backing a Bayern Munich -1.5 Asian Handicap Win at 1.725 looks excellent value, so I’m going for that along with a 3-0 correct score predictions at 6/1.
