Dinamo can strike in Thun

Croatian champions Dinamo Zagreb begin their bid to reach the main draw of the Champions League on Tuesday and they should be able to come away from Thun with a first leg lead.

Thun claimed the Swiss title last season but they limped over the line, with just one win in their final eight games – losing six of those fixtures.

In contrast, Dinamo ended the previous campaign with an 18-game unbeaten streak, including 15 wins, as they finished 18 points clear of nearest rivals Hajduk Split.

Dinamo have enjoyed an unbeaten pre-season with three wins in four games but Thun have had a mixed record, with one win, one draw and a defeat in their three games.

If the Croatian side can pick up where they left off, they should have the quality to win this game on the road ahead of the return fixture in Zagreb.

Clean sheets were an issue for Dinamo on their travels last season as they kept just one shut-out in their final five trips. Thun also rarely draw a blank at home as they scored in nine of their final 10 competitive home games so goals at both ends looks likely but the visitors can outgun their hosts and come away with a 2-1 victory.
