      Draw

      Reason for tip

Fenerbahce have drawn two of their last three Europa League games and another stalemate could be on the cards when they host Aston Villa. The visitors have failed to score in two of their last three matches and may have to settle for a point on their travels.

      Draw 1-1

      Reason for tip

Fenerbahce have played out four 1-1 draws already this season and a repeat of that scoreline could be on the cards given Aston Villa’s issues finding the net in recent games.

      Fenerbahce vs Aston Villa Predictions

      • Two of Fenerbahce’s last three Europa League games have finished as a draw
      • Both teams have scored in nine of Aston Villa’s last 11 games
      • The hosts have drawn four games 1-1 this season

Villans looking for top eight spot

Aston Villa have a very good chance of finishing in the top eight of the Europa League after winning five of their opening six matches of the league stage and they could be forgiven for taking their foot off the gas somewhat as they visit Fenerbahce on Thursday.

The Villans’ last league stage match comes at home against RB Salzburg, who have just three points from six games, so Unai Emery’s side will be targeting that as the better opportunity to secure the one win they need for an automatic spot in the last 16.

Goals may be in short supply

Their Turkish hosts have been in very solid form as of late, losing just one of their last 21 matches, and they could frustrate a Villa side who were beaten 1-0 by Everton on Sunday.

Unai Emery’s side have only scored twice in their last three games and they both came against strugglers Tottenham in the cup.

The Spaniard does not have the deepest squad at his disposal and he may choose to rest some of his stars for this game.

Against an impressive Fenerbahce side, they could find things very tough going and a stalemate is the selection for this Europa League clash.

Fener have played out four 1-1s already this season and a repeat of that scoreline could be on the cards.
