Great start for Greece

With two wins from two, Greece have made a strong start in a difficult qualifying group. They’ve won at Gibraltar and seen off the Republic of Ireland to place themselves as the closest challengers to France, but the Netherlands can gain ground in the coming months.

Greece head to Paris for a huge clash with the World Cup runners-up, hoping they can produce a shock and make a run at qualifying. However, the hosts have looked superb so far and should ultimately prove too strong.

French on another level

With one of the deepest national pools in world football, France will be among the favourites to win the Euros in Germany. They are on track to make it to the finals already, starting with three wins from three in this group.

Impressively, the French are yet to concede a goal across those three qualifiers. They thumped the Dutch 4-0 before beating the Republic of Ireland 1-0 and then winning 3-0 in Gibraltar.

While Greece have made a strong start, they are limited away from home and managed just two strikes across visits to Kosovo, Northern Ireland and Cyprus in the last edition of the Nations League.
