France to Win and Over 3.5 Match Goals
Reasoning
France vs Luxembourg Predictions
- France have won three of their last five matches with at least four goals in each win
- Luxembourg conceded nine goals in a defeat to Portugal last September
- Randal Muani has scored in two of his last three outings for Les Bleus
Red Lions unlikely to resist France’s firepower
France’s firepower should see Didier Deschamps’ side to a comfortable win over Luxembourg in Wednesday’s international friendly fixture in Metz.
Stade Saint-Symphorien is just over the border from Luxembourg, but the fans will not be turning up to watch the Red Lions resist their illustrious neighbours and will expect to see goals from Kylian Mbappe instead.
The striker, whose move to Real Madrid is all but confirmed now, missed training on Monday and may not be seen for anything like the full 90 minutes in France’s penultimate Euro 2024 warm-up fixture.
PSG striker can produce another goal
Randal Kolo Muani could be the beneficiary in this instance with the Paris Saint-Germain hitman looking to add to his three senior international goals.
He has scored two in his last three appearances for Les Bleus and is a solid shout to grab another against a team that has struggled to contain stronger nations of late.
Luxembourg lost 9-0 to Portugal in September and no longer look capable of digging out results such as the 0-0 draw they managed on their last meeting with France in a 2017 World Cup qualifier in Toulouse.
Backing France to win with at least four goals in the game seems like the way to go in this match which, although a friendly, will be a game Deschamps wants to win well to breed confidence ahead of the big summer tournament.
