      Fulham vs Brighton Predictions

Everything points to a low scoring game here. Brighton have won both their competitive games this season 1-0. They beat Nottingham Forest in the televised Championship opener last Friday and followed that up with another victory by the same scoreline at Southend in the Capital One Cup.

An encouraging start to the season then for Chris Houghton who looks to have instilled some steel into this side that had a poor campaign last time around. They were rarely troubled by Forest last week and will likely set themselves up to be difficult to break down again at Craven Cottage on Saturday as they look for another clean sheet.

Fulham were conceding quite a few goals at the end of last season however throughout pre-season and in their opening two matches have looked far more solid at the back. Like his opposite number Kit Symons has also had his first pre-season in charge of the team and it looks to have been of benefit and Fulham could make a much better of fist of their second season in the Championship after a long spell in the top flight.

They drew 1-1 at Cardiff on the opening day, with only a late equaliser denying them 3 points and won 1-0 at Wycombe on Tuesday in the Capital One Cup with midfielder Alexander Kačaniklić bagging the goal.

It’s tough to split these two here but both could well be in for improved seasons. With both managers looking to adopt a safer approach this term, backing there to be two or less goals at 3/4 looks to be worth a bet.

As for the result, a low scoring draw is likely and it wouldn’t be a complete disaster for either side at such an early stage in the campaign.
