Fulham vs Nottingham Forest Betting Tips & Predictions

Barring a miraculous sequence of events both sides are safe and a draw here will make it a mathematical certainty. Fulham won 3 matches in a row earlier in the month to put some distance between themselves and the bottom 3 including a crucial 2-1 win over 3rd bottom MK Dons. They were hammered 5-0 at Brighton immediately after that but the Seagulls are flying right now and Fulham bounced back well from that with a solid 1-1 draw at Ipswich in midweek. They’ll be hopeful of a 3rd straight home win here which could lift them as high as 18th.

Nottingham Forest are in really poor form. They’ve won just once and taken only 6 points from their last 13 league matches and are yet to win since Dougie Freedman left the club. It is going to be a big summer at the City Ground with a new manager still to be named and Paul Williams hasn’t been enjoying the best of fortunes as caretaker boss although draws in his last two games at Rotherham and at home to Blackburn have seen them creep towards safety.

These two clubs have the opposite problem. Fulham score plenty but have conceded 73 goals this term. Only bottom club Bolton have conceded more in the Championship. Forest are pretty solid at the back usually but have only netted 37 goals. Only MK Dons have scored fewer times than them in this division.

On current form you’d have to fancy Fulham to win this though. We shouldn’t read too much into the Brighton result given they have been putting plenty of goals past several sides in recent weeks but the Londoners have 10 points from 4 games discounting that and with Forest having gone so long without a win, backing Fulham to win at 5/4 looks the best bet here.
