Solid Juve to grind out the win

Juventus are worth backing to win away at Genoa on Sunday. The hosts have lost three of their last four home games in Serie A and it’s now four matches without a win at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.

Juventus finished fourth last season with 70 points, while Genoa ended up in 13th with 43. Genoa won ten games, drew 13 and lost 15 times, whilst Juventus won 18, drew 16 and lost four.

Juventus beat Parma 2-0 at home last weekend in their opening Serie A game of the season. Jonathan David scored the opener on the hour mark, with Dusan Vlahovic doubling their lead. Juventus, who were 2/5 to win the game, comfortably obliged for favourite backers.

Juventus have kept clean sheets in their last three Serie A meetings with Genoa and have shut out the visitors in four of the last six head-to-heads. In contrast, Genoa have failed to keep a clean sheet in six of their last seven league games.

Juventus have gone unbeaten in nine of the last ten Serie A head-to-head meetings with Genoa and have lost just one of their last ten league games, recording four victories in the last six.

A 2-0 away win for Juventus looks a decent option for correct-score bettors. At least one of the teams did not score in four of the last six Serie A meetings between these sides, and two of Juventus’ last three league games have ended in 2-0 wins.
