Genoa vs Palermo Betting Tips

Genoa picked up an important 2-0 away win against Atalanta last weekend. The result was especially significant as it moved the club four points clear of the relegation zone. It hasn’t been a season to remember for the club overall, but there are at least some tentative signs that Genoa are starting play better football. They lost 3-2 to Sampdoria in a good game to start 2016 and then followed that with victory over a strong opponent in Atalanta.

On Sunday, they’ll play Palermo, a team just two points and one place ahead of them in the Serie A standings. They’ve also endured a relatively mediocre time overall in 2015/16, but picked up an important away win over Verona in their second game this year.

Don’t expect too many fireworks in this game. Neither team has executed their game plan especially effectively overall this season, but they are both set up with the long ball, a slow-pace and generally with attack as a third or fourth priority.
