Over 3.5 Match Goals

Reason for tip

Germany have scored two or more goals in five of their last six internationals and they will be facing a Dutch side that are full of goals, as Tuesday’s visitors have netted 10 across their last two games and have only failed to score once in 31 matches.

Draw 2-2

Reason for tip

These two sides played out a 2-2 draw as recently as 2018 and given their respective scoring abilities, it would be no surprise to see this one finish in the same manner, especially as Germany drew 2-2 with Mexico as recently as October.

Germany vs Netherlands Predictions

  • Germany have scored two or more goals in five of their last six internationals
  • The Netherlands have netted 10 goals across their last two games
  • Three of the last four meetings between these two sides have featured over 3.5 goals

Goals to flow in Frankfurt

Germany’s preparations for their home Euros this summer have not always gone smoothly, but they did win 2-0 in France on Friday and scoring goals has not been an issue – they have netted two or more in five of their last six games.

Finding the back of the net has also been routine for the Netherlands of late, as Ronald Koeman’s side have netted in each of their last 10 games and in 30 of their previous 31.

That run includes scoring 10 goals across their last two matches against Gibraltar and Scotland, although Friday’s 4-0 success over the latter did not tell the whole story, as the Dutch gave up plenty of opportunities during that contest.

If Germany are handed similar openings in Frankfurt, they are unlikely to pass them up and this could prove a high-scoring contest as a result, especially as three of the last four meetings between these rivals have featured at least four goals.

High-scoring draw could be on the cards

There does not tend to be much to separate these sides when they meet, as across their last four head-to-heads they have drawn twice and won once apiece.

One of the draws during that run was a 2-2 on German soil in the UEFA Nations League in 2018 and it would be no surprise to see that outcome occur again on Tuesday.

Germany are certainly no strangers to drawing 2-2, they did so with Mexico in a friendly as recently as October, and a share of four goals would likely represent a successful international break for the Dutch.
