Tough one to call

Girona are currently 11th in Spain’s second-tier while Leganes sit 16th after an uplift in form.

The home side trounced their lower league opposition in the Copa Del Rey in midweek but they did lose their last league to high-flyers Eibar. That defeat came after consecutive wins for Girona including a victory at home over Cartagena in their most recent game at their own ground.

At home, Girona have won each of their last two league matches and they have averaged 1.33 goals per game whilst conceding exactly one per match on average. Hence our both teams to score prediction.

Leganes improving

The visitors arrive here after a win in the Copa Del Rey in midweek, building on their back-to-back league wins which has seen them rise out of the relegation zone and up to 16th.

They are unbeaten in five matches and their last away game saw them take out Zaragova 2-0 to register successive wins on the road. They have scored in all but one of their last nine matches away from home and I’m backing them to get on the scoresheet here.

Leganes are averaging 1.33 goals per game on their travels in the division and given that Girona are conceding on average one a game, 1-1 in the correct score market looks a favourable route.
