Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 Match Goals

Both teams have scored with over 2.5 goals in five of Ajax’s last six away league games, including a recent 2-1 reverse at NAC Breda. Both teams have also scored in four of the last six head-to-head meetings of the clubs.

Ajax 2-1

Reason for tip

Ajax have won only one of the last six competitive matches between the sides, but Go Ahead are without some key players and are getting to grips with a new head coach right now. The Amsterdam club are also working with a new coach, but things appear to be coming together for them now and they can edge a 2-1 win in Deventer.

Go Ahead Eagles vs Ajax Predictions

  • Both teams have scored with over 2.5 goals in five of Ajax’s last six away league games, including  recent 2-1 reverse at NAC Breda
  • Both teams have scored in four of the last six head-to-head meetings of the clubs
  • Ajax have won only one of the last six competitive matches between the sides

Ajax wiped the floor with Fortuna

Ajax enjoyed an emphatic midweek win over Fortuna Sittard, yet could still come unstuck when they travel to Deventer to face Go Ahead Eagles on Saturday.

Francesco Farioli’s side appear to be coming together now after putting together a three-game winning streak and scoring a lot of goals.

But De Adelaarschorst is not an easy place to go and the Eagles have proved it against the Amsterdam giants recently, avoiding defeat in five of their last six matches.

Back both teams to score in Deventer

Both teams scoring seems to be a running theme in their previous clashes and there is good reason to suspect that might be the case again here with Ajax having lost their only previous Eredivisie away trip 2-1 this season.

Both teams have scored with over 2.5 goals in five of Ajax’s last six away league games and it should land again this weekend.

Although The Eagles did not score in a recent 3-0 defeat at PSV Eindhoven, they had a respectable xG in that game that, on another day, have seen them get a goal.
