Celta to Struggle Again at Los Carmenes

Celta Vigo’s resurgence under new manager Eduardo Coudet didn’t last long and Celestes could struggle again this weekend against a Granada side who have won three of their last four starts at Los Carmenes.

Celta enjoyed a fine run of four straight league wins shortly after the Argentine’s arrival at Balaidos, but they have a hit a real slump since the turn of the year. Celestes have picked up just a single point in their four outings since 1^st January and travel to Andalusia this weekend having won just one of their ten away trips this season (D5, L4).

Granada have won just one of their last five (D1, L3) and were extremely disappointing at Osasuna last time out (3-1), however, Nazaries have been a model of consistency on home soil this season.

They have won six of their ten games at Los Carmenes (D2, L2) including three of their last four (L1) – a record which makes Diego Martinez’ charges an appealing punt here at around the 6/4 mark.

Celta ran out 3-1 victors in November but that doesn’t concern us too much, considering the Galicians were flying at that point while Granada have been contrastingly poor on the road all season.

So, we’re backing the hosts to land the points this Sunday and we’re also tipping up a 2-0 correct score. That has been the outcome in two of Granada’s last four here and Nazaries have also kept clean sheets in four of their ten outings at Los Carmenes this term.
