Betis can return to winning ways

Fancied to push for the Champions League spots in La Liga this season, Real Betis made a decent start to the campaign with four points from their first two matches but they have since been in a downward spiral.

Betis have won just one of their last four contests in the league, losing 5-0 to Barcelona as part of that run, and they were also beaten 1-0 by Rangers in their Europa League opener last Thursday.

But this week they have a good chance of returning to winning ways when they visit struggling Granada.

Finding the net has been tricky for Betis recently with the Andalusians firing blanks against Barca and Rangers before a 1-1 draw with Cadiz on Sunday.

But Granada have leaked goals this season, conceding 17 times in their six games.

They have lost five of those six contests, leaving them in the relegation zone ahead of Thursday’s encounter, and they should be opposed again.

Even though they are not delivering results for their fans, Granada have been decent entertainers this season and goals could be on the cards at Los Carmenes.

Three of Granada’s last four games have seen both teams score and their last four matches and featured a total of 20 goals.

Betis to win 2-1 could therefore be a decent correct score pick when this out-of-form pair lock horns.
