Granada vs Sevilla Predictions, Betting Tips and Match Previews

This game has the potential to produce goals. Sevilla have been very positive this season under new coach Jorge Sampaoli and have been performing better away from home. They failed to win on the road last term in La Liga but come into this match having won 2 of their last 3 away league games, drawing the other. Both victories were by 3-2 margins and both teams have scored in 83% of their away league games so far this term. Those 3-2 wins came at struggling sides so we can expect them to follow a similar attacking approach here against rock bottom Granada which should lead to an open game.

In some respects a draw would be a good result for the hosts ,however, it would make it 14 games without a win in La Liga this season. At some point they are going to have to start winning football matches if they are to have any chance of beating the drop. Sevilla aren’t brilliant defensively so they may view this as the sort of game where they need to take a few risks in order to try and bag a win that could kick-start their season.

The stats though don’t make good reading for them. They’ve kept just 1 clean sheet so far this season and have the worst defensive record in the division with 2.23 goals conceded per game on average. They’ve been a bit more competitive since Lucas Alcaraz took charge though and did pick up their first win of the season in the Copa del Rey in midweek against top flight opposition in the form of Osasuna. They’d have gladly swapped that for 3 points in the league but it should at least give them a lift coming into this match.

Sevilla have a big Champions League game on Wednesday which should also help Granada out but the visitors have enough strength in depth to still win this. Overall backing there to be goals at both ends looks like the best bet. Both teams have scored in 77% of Granada games and 77% of Sevilla games in La Liga this term and backing both teams to score at 4/5 looks to offer value in this one.
