Halmstad vs BK Hacken Predictions

Tricky test for Hacken

Two clubs that finished level on points last season clash with their sights trained on opposite ends of the Allsvenskan table as rock-bottom Halmstad entertain third-placed BK Hacken on Sunday.

It is a trickier test for the 2022 champions than it looks on paper because they have not won at Orjans Vall since 2017, losing three times and drawing once – a 0-0 result last season. Hacken would be much closer to the top this term if they could turn some of their closely-fought drawn matches into wins.

The Wasps were unbeaten through to the summer break with five wins and five draws, but have lost their two matches since the resumption. Worryingly, they have conceded four goals on each occasion and it will need an improved defensive effort if they are to claim all three points on Sunday.

Suspended defender weakens visitors

Halmstad are not as bad as their record of one win, three draws and eight losses suggests. They have lost only two of their last five at Orjans Vall and they only one of those defeats was in the last two months.

The odds on the hosts to avoid defeat here look appealing and especially so when you factor in that key centre-back Adam Lundkvist will be missing for the visitors after picking up too many yellow cards.
