      Hamilton vs Hibernian Predictions

Hibs will travel to South Lanarkshire this weekend where they’ll be hosted by Hamilton at New Douglas Park. Can the visitors put an end to their winless streak?

Hamilton went back to their losing ways just before the international week as they were thrashed 5-0 by Rangers at Ibrox. It was Brian Rice’s heaviest defeat of the season so far, with the Accies failing to concede more than 3 goals this season.

Hamilton’s season has been better than other years, as the club seems to on the right track to survival, as proven by their 8 points so far- thanks to a couple of wins, draws as well as a trio of defeats. Their home form has also been solid so far, losing twice in their last 9 ties at New Douglas Park. However, the Accies struggle to keep a clean sheet, doing so just twice in those 9 fixtures.

Hibs’ winless streak continued into the international break as the Edinburgh club has failed to win a league game since doing so on the opening day of the season. The Hibees have gone on a terrible run of games, suffering heavy defeats along the way- such as their 6-1 thrashing by Rangers or their narrow defeat in the Edinburgh derby by Hearts.

Moreover, Paul Heckingbottom’s men have failed to keep a clean sheet since that initial victory, conceding a whopping 17 goals in their last 7 Premiership ties, whilst only managing to score a measly 6 in as many games.

The Hibees have managed to hold both Celtic and Aberdeen down to draws in their last 2 games, but the Easter Road side needs a win to get back on track and kick-start their season. It’ll be tough for Hibs, as they have lost 5 of their last 6 games away from home, failing to win since the start of April. Hamilton has already shown to have improved since the end of the last campaign and have been exceptionally solid at home, although they can’t seem to keep the goals out. We’re backing the game to end as a draw here and for both teams to score, as we feel neither side can do well enough to take all 3 points.
