Hartlepool vs Oldham Predictions

There is a massive disparity between Hartlepool’s home and away results. They have won eight games this season, but only one of those was on the road, while seven have come at Victoria Park.

They are incredibly tough to beat in the North East, losing just twice, to Forest Green Rovers and Newport who are both above them in the table.

The Monkey Hangers have lost just once in four games under new boss Graeme Lee, and that was a 3-2 defeat away to in form Mansfield. They will be confident of another three points here.

Oldham in a relegation battle

A 0-0 draw with Barrow on Wednesday did little to lift Oldham’s spirits as they made it four games without a victory, and extended their winless run on the road to six matches.

It is a month since they sacked Keith Curle, but results have barely improved, with caretaker boss Selim Benachour yet to taste victory and seeing his side defeated three times in five outings.

They are rooted to the bottom of the Football League and, with just two wins in eleven league away games this season, it is difficult to see them dragging themselves out of the relegation zone in this game.

I predict that Hartlepool will rack up another home victory, but only by a slender margin, selecting 1-0 as a correct score.
