Honest Haugesund can repel Viking’s charge 

Haugesund can further dent Viking’s charge for a European spot by denying their local rivals victory in Saturday’s clash at Sparebank Arena.

Jostein Grindhaug’s side are not the most talented in Norway, although they do have former West Ham starlet Martin Samuelsen working his way back from another injury, but they are an honest bunch who always put a shift in. They can make it hard for a Viking side that have been finding things getting tougher in recent weeks.

The warning lights in Stavanger started flashing even before the international break when they lost 3-2 at Stromsgodset, but last weekend’s 2-1 loss to Sandefjord means it’s now four league games without a win for Viking. They have had the better of these local skirmishes with FKH in recent years, but last season’s 4-2 home win in the corresponding fixture may have halted any hoodoo.
