Hibernian vs Aberdeen Predictions
- Hibs have only failed to score in two of their nine home games in the SPL
- Aberdeen have netted in seven of their nine away matches in the SPL
- Both teams have scored in six of Aberdeen’s fixtures on the road
Hibs hoping to bounce back
Defeat in Sunday’s Scottish League Cup final against Celtic means Hibs’ six year wait for a trophy goes on, but they cannot afford to be too demoralised from losing at Hampden Park.
They head into this one in seventh place in the table, just one point and one place below Aberdeen in the table, but they have only won one of their last five home league matches.
Conceding goals has been a problem. Shaun Maloney has just been appointed as permanent manager and he knows his side have to work on their defensive game, as they have only kept one clean sheet in those five games.
However, they do score plenty as well, netting in four of their last five outings.
Aberdeen need to keep the momentum going
They may won their last game, but a 1-0 victory over struggling St Johnstone was nothing to write home about.
That victory was their first in ten matches on the road, a run that also includes seven defeats, with both teams scoring in six of those ten games.
Stephen Glass’ side do come into the back of this on three straight wins though, and they have a good chance of keeping the momentum going against an inconsistent Hibs side.
Both teams look fallible at the back, so I predict both teams will score, selecting 1-1 as my correct score prediction.
